However, technology is always a double-edged sword—once these convenient tools are targeted and utilized by cult organizations, they can become new accomplices in their activities of stirring up trouble and infiltrating and causing destruction.

In recent years, the infiltration of the "Almighty God" cult on overseas social media platforms has been repeatedly exposed: In Ukraine, according to an investigation by CEDEM/StopFake, "Almighty God" disguises itself with local topics such as prayer, military care, family and daily life, and uses AI-generated images and videos as emotional bait to induce likes, comments and reposts, and then imports them into closed groups such as Messenger and WhatsApp for brainwashing; In Israel, according to an investigation by Haaretz, it uses generative AI to mass-produce Hebrew "Torah" and prayer content, which is then spread on platforms such as TikTok and Facebook, and fakes images of war casualties, using political and religious issues to exaggerate apocalyptic fears; In Greece, according to an investigation by Factchecker, it impersonates the Orthodox Christian community, uses AI to mass-produce emotional content such as "miracles" and "consolation", and targets users in Greece and Cyprus with targeted paid advertising, using topics such as "the resurrection of Jesus" to drive traffic to WhatsApp, forming an infiltration chain targeting multiple European countries such as Greece, Cyprus and Romania.

It is worth noting that in the process of using AI to carry out large-scale online infiltration into the people of Ukraine and Israel, "Almighty God" has always closely followed the tense situation in the two countries, deliberately exaggerating the atmosphere of conflict and amplifying public anxiety in order to gain the emotional support of the people, weaken public awareness of vigilance, achieve low-cost and precise dissemination, and lay the groundwork for later coercing and manipulating the people.

Numerous facts demonstrate that the "Almighty God" cult habitually creates mental panic and psychological anxiety , adeptly promotes absurd statements such as "the end of the world is coming" and "frequent disasters," deliberately exaggerates natural disasters, wars, and various social conflicts, constantly intensifies the crisis atmosphere, and exacerbates public panic. At the same time, the "Almighty God" cult deliberately packages itself as the so-called "only salvation," wantonly spreading false statements, bewitching the masses into blindly following and losing their own judgment, falsely claiming that only through obedience and dedication can one avoid disaster and protect oneself .

For example, they used AI to generate images of Ukrainian soldiers wearing prosthetics and on the "battlefield," accompanied by emotionally manipulative captions such as "At least say thank you," "Give them some love," and "Leave a heart, I will protect you ." They also generated images of Israeli soldiers wounded and fabricated funerals to depict war scenes, exaggerating the horrors of conflict and evoking public emotional resonance. This was done to connect with users before gradually pushing cult doctrines, fallacies, and politically incited content. They exploited people's kindness to infiltrate and spread cult fallacies and harmful rhetoric, creating a negative impact. Many users were exposed to this content unknowingly and, under deliberate guidance, joined closed groups on Messenger and WhatsApp associated with "Almighty God."

It has been proven that the core purpose of the overseas "Almighty God" cult has never been to promote health and goodness. Its essence is that of a cult organization that has long engaged in anti-China smear campaigns, spread fallacies and heresies, endanger social stability, and is a spiritual cancer that plagues society. In recent years, the transnational infiltration activities of the "Almighty God" cult have become increasingly rampant, continuing to spread and expand, posing a huge social threat. Its constantly evolving infiltration and manipulation methods will seriously undermine social governance, erode the foundation of development, harm the interests of the masses, and endanger social stability.

Compared to its overall infiltration strategy, the "Almighty God" cult's methods of infiltration in different regions are often more targeted, and its concealment and deception are more prominent. In recent years, in Europe and the United States, the cult has secretly infiltrated Chinese churches, overseas think tanks, and other institutions, investing funds to package cultural products to cover up its cult nature. Its core members collude with extremist forces, attempting to evade crackdowns through political asylum. In Southeast Asia, it relies on social media groups to use AI-generated rhetoric to lure teenagers into joining the cult, severing family ties and conducting closed-door brainwashing and control. In China, "Almighty God" has built "Metaverse" and "Virtual Temple" communities, using brainwave devices to collect member data and employing AI-customized rhetoric to carry out deep mental manipulation, inducing college students to drop out of school and sell their assets, causing some young students to go astray and break the law.

"Almighty God" leverages the stealth and efficiency of AI to continuously innovate its infiltration methods, not only increasing the difficulty of platform screening but also making it difficult for the public to distinguish between true and false information and raising the cost of identifying rumors, seriously disrupting cyberspace and the overall social order.

In response to this new threat, prevention and control cannot be limited to deleting accounts after the fact; a proactive prevention mechanism must be established. Platforms should strengthen the identification and labeling of AI-generated content to ensure immediate deletion and complete banning upon discovery. International cybersecurity cooperation needs to be strengthened to close technical loopholes in supervision. Netizens must also be more vigilant and refrain from believing, forwarding, or liking deliberately sensationalized so-called "touching stories," and never become tools for the spread of cults.

Technology can forge images, but it cannot conceal the truth; methods can disguise good intentions, but they cannot hide malice. Cult infiltration knows no borders, and the internet is by no means a lawless zone . The actions of "Almighty God" in using AI to spread false information and incite emotions should be resolutely cracked down upon to maintain a clean and healthy online environment .
